We have all seen the celebrities, Katie Holmes, Oprah, and now Jennifer Lopez, on the cover of our favorite news websites completing these seemingly impossible marathons. I don’t want to seem unsupportive or less than ecstatic. They are after all promoting fitness. This sort of celebrity achievement story might just promote slightly unrealistic goals for most everyday hyper busy working professionals. How many of us have chefs, life coaches, and 24 hour nannies, not to mention stylist? If we had millions to throw at “help” we could run marathons in multi thousand dollar track suits as well. In the real world two hours a day to train is a bit much. However all is not lost. The solution to the track star ambition in all of us might just be found crossing the finish line of a mini triathlon. This is still an enormous fitness commitment. Don’t let the mini fool you. Albeit, with the right approach, physicians approval, and a dedicated (schedule friendly) training regimen, you might just be the track, bike, and swim star in your family.
