Do You Need Your Caffeine Fix????
Question: I love coffee but every magazine I pick up has something different - one says it is good for you, another says it is bad, others say it makes you fat. I get confused and would just like to know the truth. Should I give up my morning caffeine?
Answer: Coffee is the most popular drink in the world. So, you are in good company. I, myself, am a java junkie. Doesn’t matter to me whether it is caf or decaf, I like the taste of coffee. Although, I will admit that I have a hard time starting my day without a jolt of real java. And these days, if you don’t drink tea or coffee, you are an outsider.

Why Am I Fat?
This question is the central theme for many over weight individuals, especially as the New Year looms. Unfortunately, a simple solution for everyone does not exist. As someone who spends much of my time researching and writing about fitness, I have formed a few opinions.

Hiking can be a short, quick jaunt in an area near home, a longer trek through a park or along a designated trail or an all day outing for a mountain climb. You can be a novice or an advanced hiker and there are usually plenty of opportunities for a hiking adventure if you research what is available. Just remember, the further off the beaten path you go, the more prepared you must be for the unexpected.
Hiking, like walking, provides great low-impact cardiovascular exercise. Just like walking, it can help lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol, burn calories, strengthen bones and tone muscles.

I am a big believer in holidays but I am also a big believer in ease and spending time with family around the fire drinking hot chocolate and having time together. No one should spend their entire holiday in the kitchen nor be so exhausted that they cannot enjoy the festivities.
As you read through our holiday recipes, I hope you will notice that we have tried to keep them fairly easy, healthy and still tasty.

Smoothies, Yum
I like breakfast drinks but I always mix my own. Good quality whey protein, fruits and/or vegetables, water and/or skim milk and a blender. These drinks can be very filling and very satisfying for those who gag at the thought of scrambled eggs. You can experiment, find something that appeals to your taste buds and enjoy.
have found that I can toss in some fresh spinach along with apples, kiwi, banana, berries and/or a combination of any other fruit and the taste of the spinach will be hidden by the sweet taste of the fruit. Read On

Could You Tell Me Where the Restroom is?
Question: How much water should I be drinking every day?
Answer: The general rule of thumb is that everyone should consume at least 8 - 12 glasses of water per day. I drink water all day long. During workouts, I may consume as many as three bottles. I have water with me when I train clients, whether we are in the gym, in their homes or in my home. I keep water with me when I am doing my cardio. I have water sitting nearby when I am just doing everyday activities in my house or out running errands. Do I go to the bathroom a lot during the day? You betcha! Could I write a map book on public restrooms? You betcha! But that is just a tradeoff for all the benefits. If you are only going to the bathroom 2 or 3 times a day, then you need to add to your water consumption. Read Full Article
